When Was the Last Time You Were Simply a Woman?

When was the last time you were simply a woman—not the mother, grandmother, caregiver, healer, professional, or the one everyone depends on?

This seven-minute guided reflection for women is a quiet invitation to pause, breathe, reconnect with yourself, and remember the woman beneath all your responsibilities.

I originally created this reflection for other women, but listening to it reminded me that I had not been fully present with myself either. Sometimes the words we offer to others are the very words our own spirits need to hear.

During this reflection, you are invited to:

• Set down the roles you carry

• Become present with your own needs and emotions

• Create a sacred pause in your day

• Reconnect with your feminine self

• Begin the journey back to you

You do not have to accomplish anything, solve anything, or be anything for anyone during these seven minutes. Simply breathe, listen, and allow yourself to be.

Yeyẹ́sìndé Sacred Works is a private, appointment-only women’s wellness sanctuary in Conyers, Georgia, offering sacred care, guided healing experiences, spiritual mentorship, ritual wellness, and restorative spaces for women.

If this guided reflection speaks to you, share in the comments: When was the last time you allowed yourself to simply be a woman?
